Rownak Taslima, took over the charge of Chief Accounts and Finance Officer, Ministry of Education on 10 October, 2024. Rownak Taslima belongs to 24th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service Audit and Accounts (cadre). She did her BSC (Hons.) and MSC (Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology) from University of Dhaka. She also did her MBA from American International University, Bangladesh.

During her career in civil service she worked in various important positions including Assistant Director,Foreign Aided Project Audit Directorate (FAPAD); Deputy Director, Works Audit Directorate and Commercial audit Directorate; Director, Local and Revenue Audit Directorate, Assistant Comptroller and Auditor General  (Re-organ), Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Procedure); Finance Controller (Army) Pay-1, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
